My photo essay conveys the history and beauty around Somerset and Berkley. It shows how it has changed over time. Places such as the berkley bridge and remains of old train tracks in Somerset are shown throughout my essay. Also Edward Winslow, who traveled the Mayflower in 1620 and wrote two books while walking through area, that he sent back to England to tell them what life was like here. I sequenced my photos using things in nature and by portraying the town with old vs. new. In the first row, I decided to photograph the Berkley Bridge today in 2016. I overlaid it on top of the old bridge that once stood there many years ago. This series shows the evolution of the town over time and how it has advanced. Through this series and assignment I learned about the things and places that once used to be a part of Somerset, Including the old railroad track that once used to stand across the Taunton River. Also, I learned about Edward Winslow and the lands he once wrote about, while on his way to visit Massasoit. In Somerset and Berkley's future, I vision a more industrialized place for the future. Over time, the two town's have become more and more developed. In the future I see more and more people living in these places, and I see the cities growing. More land is going to be taken up by things and places, rather than just things in nature.
